上海市中心城区的旧区改建已进入“城市更新与文化传承”这一新的历史阶段。现代化城市的发展需要文化的支撑、提升和驱动。现代化城市必须尊重多元文化和保护文化的多样性，受两个理念的启发，本文对旧区改建作了深入研究。并对上海市在保护传统历史文化建筑和遗存、尤其是在既保护又利用方面做了不少有益的探索和创新的实践，作了详细的分析。 - 关键词：
城市更新；文化传承；尊重多元文化；保护文化多样性；上海市； - Abstract: Shanghai downtown area reconstruction has entered the new historical stage of "urban renewal and the cultural heritage". The development of modern city needs cultural support, ascension and drive. Modern city must show respect for multiculture and protect the diversity of culture. As the enlightenment from the two ideas, this paper makes further study on the old area reconstruction, on the protection of traditional culture in history, especially in building and heritage protection and utilization in both.
