城镇收缩是当前国际学术界的研究焦点，小城镇收缩是其重要组成部分并已经受到了广泛关注。作为城镇化载体谱系上的重要单元以及衔接城乡的中间环节，小城镇的收缩对城镇化的健康发展具有重要影响，而透过小城镇收缩相关研究，可以深入解析城乡关系重构以及要素流动格局的变迁进程。本文在归纳、总结国内外小城镇收缩总体研究进展的同时，试图挖掘其内在机制，并通过解析中外小城镇收缩的异同，对中国小城镇收缩的可能趋势进行分析与判断，并提出未来相关研究进一步拓展、深化的方向与内容。 - 关键词：
小城镇；收缩；机制；对策；进展； - Abstract: Rural shrinkage is a hot topic in the international academia, and the shrinkage of small towns has been discussed widely. As important parts of the spectrum of urbanization, the shrinkage of small towns reflects the change of the economic and social development, influencing the healthy development of urbanization to large extent. Based on the review of the existing literature and the summary of the logic of global shrinkage of small towns, this paper focuses on two aspects of the shrinkage of Chinese small towns: mechanism and countermeasures. Furthermore, based on the comparison of the shrinkage of Chinese small towns and the counterparts overseas, this paper proposes the possible trend of the shrinkage of Chinese small towns and the directions of the further research.
