Furthermore, it can furnish all-encompassing and sustainable social protection for both urban and rural areas. This study employs the case of Jiangning district to incorporate relevant environmental elements and subsequently elucidate the relationship between these elements and social values, as well as their significance in quantitatively measuring social values. Lastly, we conduct a comparative analysis of the divergences and convergences in the viewpoints of two fundamental stakeholder cohorts, specifically inhabitants and visitors, with a view to accurately evaluating and promoting the comprehensive improvement of social benefits and composite values of ecosystem services in urban fringe areas, and providing theoretical basis and decision support for the planning and management of ecosystem in urban fringe areas.
