  • Abstract: Against the background of the digital transformation of consumption space driven by social informatization and the development of the Internet economy, in-depth research on invisible consumption space from the perspective of spatial production theory helps identify the factors influencing its spatial distribution, broaden the scope and depth of consumption space studies, and promote its orderly and healthy development. Taking the Hexi area of Nanjing as the research object, this study collects multi-source data from the Amap Open Platform and other sources, and applies methods such as spatial autocorrelation analysis and kernel density analysis to examine its spatial distribution characteristics and influencing factors. The results show that invisible consumption space in the Hexi area is characterized by the coexistence of “weak centralization” and “multi-point clustering” , significant differences among categories, and vertical penetration replacing horizontal expansion. Based on the “trialectics” of spatial production theory, the study finds that the spatial regulation of power actors has shifted, with flexible governance becoming the primary approach; regarding capital actors, the network economy has a clear decentralizing effect on invisible consumption space, although transportation conditions, operational characteristics, and rent levels remain influential; invisible consumption space is the outcome of compromise between power and capital toward social actors.
