建筑遗存；记忆延续；整体性；结构性保护； - Abstract: Based on our urban design project in Jiangyin, this paper tried to present the methodology on traditional urban blocks and streets preservation in urbanization process. Proceeding from urban context, the paper attempts to summarize a holistic preservation method: Structural preservation of historical blocks and streets, suitable for memory extending and fast urban development of medium and small cities in the Yangtze River Delta.
