建筑的演变与城市的发展密切相关，建筑与城市关系的论述在西方城市建筑理论中占有重要地位。通过对这些理论的梳理和分析，可以归为三种基本类型，即基于形体秩序的城市建筑理论，基于一般系统论的城市建筑理论，以及基于复杂系统论的城市建筑理论。这些理论的发展反映了人们对城市微观元素与城市系统关系的认知变化，为处理当今城市建筑锲入城市的策略与方法提供有益借鉴。 - 关键词：
西方城市建筑理论；局部；整体；系统； - Abstract: The change of architecture has intently relationship with the urban development. The discussions of the relationship between architecture and city take an important place of western urban architecture theory. Though the analysis of these theories, it can be sum up in three types, theories based on form order, systematology, and complicated systematology. The development of these theories reflects the changes which people recognized the relationship of urban microcosmic elements with urban system. The theories provide useful reference to the tactics and methodology dealing with urban architecture inserted into the urban environment.
