本文以常州市孟河镇为例，以城河关系的演化剖析为主线，同时从运河水系、聚落形态、文化特色三方面展开并联式研究，叠合和映射不同阶段、不同特色文化的衍生与演化轨迹，并由此将其大致划分为运河创建期、运河完善期、运河发展期和运河转型期四个阶段，在解析古镇历史演化的基础上，从运河古镇和整体格局两方面得到其价值特色的研判。 - 关键词：
文化空间；运河古镇；历史演化； - Abstract: Taking Menghe Town as an example, following the evolution of the relationship of city and river as the main context clue, the article made a parallel research from canal water system, settlement pattern and cultural features. Based on the research, the paper will roughly divide it into four stages: the canal excavation stage, the canal improvement stage, the canal development stage and the canal transformation stage. After analyzing the historical evolution of the ancient canal town, value characteristics can be drawn from the ancient canal town and the whole settlement pattern two aspects.
