城市历史文化保护区作为记忆空间，与非历史文化保护区的区别之一是它承载着更多的集体记忆。这个集体不但是居住或工作在城市历史文化保护区内的人，还包括居住在历史文化保护区之外的人们。在这个逻辑下，城市才能将纳税人的钱投入到历史文化保护区上。以北京西四北头条至八条历史文化保护区为案例研究区域，分析了权威性和非权威性记忆空间、集体和个人记忆空间的表达和传承，分析了这两种空间为历史文化保护区保护方案制定的参考意义和局限。文章用地理学的尺度转换理论解释了个体记忆与集体记忆的关系，最后基于非表征理论，提出在历史文化保护区记忆活化的过程中，首先要打通权威记忆素材和个体记忆素材之间的界线，这样才能为个体记忆上升为集体记忆铺平道路。 - 关键词：
历史文化保护区；记忆空间；北京文化；表达；传承； - Abstract: Historical areas in a city are also memory spaces. One of their functions is maintaining the collective memory of the people who are not only living inside but also outside a historical area. This research takes 1st to 8th lanes in Xisi Historical Residential Area in Central Beijing as the research area. It analyses the representation and inheritance of authority memory spaces (also collective memory spaces) and non-authority memory spaces (also individual memory spaces). And it analyses the advantage and weakness of so called authority memories and non-authority memories for historical area preservation planning. It takes scale-jumping approaches of geography to explain the relation of individual memory and collective memory. Finally, it points out that the condition of individual-collective memory integration in historical area planning is breaking the boundary between authority and non-authority memories based on non-representation theory.
