基于近年来对长江三角洲地区的研究，结合江苏江北地区空间发展的新形势，进一步探讨区域空间结构及其变化趋势，提出要因地制宜地探索江北地区城乡统筹发展的新模式，并就南通空间发展提出若干建议。 - 关键词：
区域规划；江苏江北地区；长江三角洲经济区；多中心；南通； - Abstract: Based the research about the Yangtze River Delta in recent years, combined with the new developments in areas in the north of Yangtze River in Jiangsu province, the regional spatial structure and its development trends are analyzed. The author believes that we should explore the new development modes for the whole urban-rural area in the north of Yangtze River in Jiangsu according to the local conditions, and gives several countermeasures for the spatial development of Nantong.
