改扩建；形体选择；空间环境；融合； - Abstract: By making a review of the design progress of renovation and expansion to the library and square of front campus at Qingdao University, the authors introduce a method on how to integrate the old and new buildings and create harmonious spatial environment of front campus, which is based on aspects of form selection, the arrangement of function, the treatment of space, the construction of details and so on.
