尝试利用夜间灯光数据对1993～2003年江苏省城镇建设用地扩展时空格局的演化过程加以探讨，对1993、1998、2003年三个年份的夜间灯光数据的空间分析结果显示：（1）1993～2003年江苏城镇建设用地总量数值尽管与江苏省历年城镇用地统计数据之间存在小幅波动，但扩展趋势基本一致。（2）县域城镇建设用地增长一直占江苏城镇建设用地增长的较大比重。（3）江苏城镇建设用地空间增长在1993～1998年时段呈“扩散”状态，在1998～2003年时段则呈“集聚”状态。 - 关键词：
城镇建设用地扩展；夜间灯光数据；江苏省； - Abstract: This paper uses the nighttime images from Defense Meteorological Satellite Program’s Operational Linescan System (DMSP-OLS) to examine the patterns and trend of urban expansion between 1993 and 2003. The result shows that the rate of urban area expansion in Jiangsu province increased from 398km2 yr-1 in 1993-1998 to 1418 km2 yr-1 in 1998-2003, especially in the southern region. Secondly, the county-level urban land growth accounted large proportion for the urban growth in 1993-2003. Thirdly, there are two types of urban expansion: diffusion in 1993-1998 and centralization in 1998-2003.
