在高速发展的城市化的推动下，城市群地区将成为区域空间未来发展的重要生长点。研究我国城市群空间结构特征有助于人们在更广阔的视野中把握城市的发展，形成合理的区域发展格局，健全区域协调互动机制。本研究对我国城市群空间结构特征，空间演化阶段、演化模式、动力机制、城市群空间规划等方面的研究进展进行了回顾与总结，并对城市群空间的研究趋势进行了展望。 - 关键词：
城市群；空间结构；研究进展；展望； - Abstract: There are two important characteristics in the development of contemporary city，the growing polycentric mega-city regions, urban alliances and regional integration. The urban agglomerations regions will be the important growing point of the regional spatial development since the rapid development regional urbanization and urban regionalization. Research on the spatial structure of China's urban agglomerations contribute to the controlling of the development of cities in the wider field of view，and form a reasonable regional development pattern, as well as establish regional balancing institution. This paper reviews and concludes the research on the spatial structure features, space evolution pattern，dynamic mechanism as well as the space planning of urban agglomeration，and finally presents the prospects of the urban agglomerations.
