小城镇的建设和发展对于促进经济社会发展，尤其对于解决“三农”问题具有重大意义。然而，在小城镇快速发展的同时，西北地区小城镇规划建设中的一些矛盾和问题逐渐暴露出来，对小城镇的健康、可持续发展造成不利影响。本文在分析新型城镇化的科学内涵、建设要求的基础上，立足于西北地区发展建设特征，通过对近年来西北小城镇规划的反思，探析西北小城镇在新型城镇化背景下的规划路径。 - 关键词：
新型城镇化；西北地区；小城镇；规划路径； - Abstract: The construction and development of small town has very important meanings to the economical and society development ,especially to solving the problems of peasant, agriculture and county. However, with the rapid development of the small town, some problems and contradictions about planning and construction in the Northwest Areas have gradually emerged and there are adverse effects on the healthy and sustainable development of small towns. Based on the analysis of the scientific connotation and the construction requirements of new-type urbanization, and the characteristics of northwest regional development, the article mainly reflects on the planning of small towns in northwest in recent years, and search a new planning path of small towns in the northwest rural area which is under the theory of newtype urbanization.
