以兰州为代表的诸多中国城市为应对土地资源匮乏，突破空间限制开展了低丘缓坡等未利用土地开发项目，“削山”以造新城。这一举措可能对生态环境带来的影响引发了包括开发商、媒体、学者、政府、市民等在内的不同群体的论战。论战结果虽不甚清晰，但仍揭示了城市发展中的一些普遍问题，值得深思。 - 关键词：
“削山造城”；兰州新城；生态影响；论战；城市发展问题； - Abstract: Taking Lanzhou as an example of cities in China, it developed unused low-hill lands to confront the lack of land resource and to break the spatial constraint, and bulldozed mountains to build new cities. And this action, which may have an enormous impact on the local eco-system, generated great debate among media, academics, government and so on. Though the debate does not lead to a clear result, it still reveals some thought-provoking issues about urban development.
