城市地标是认知城市的重要参照系，在城市发展中遭遇巨大挑战。文章采用历史文献法和比较法对呼和浩特两个时期的城市地标进行分类，发现地标在演化中有着不同的境遇，有的被完整保留下来，有的被改变了记忆，有的只保留了地名或记忆。地标在城市发展中受战争、地方工业基地建设、边疆政策及行政干预的影响，居民需要不断地去接受并适应不同时代地标所赋予的文化内涵，并形成新的文化认同。民族地标在边疆城市的传承与表现对地方发展具有重要的民族和文化意义。 - 关键词：
城市地标；集体记忆；认知城市；民族特色； - Abstract: Urban landmark is an important reference frame to recognize a city, and it encounters great challenge in urban development. This paper classifies the urban landmarks of Hohhot in two periods by using the methods of historical documents and comparative studies. It is found that the landmarks have been under different conditions in evolution: some have been preserved, some have been changed, while some have retained the place names or memory. Landmarks are affected by the war, local industrial base construction, border policy and administrative intervention. The residents need to accept and adapt to the cultural connotations given by the landmarks at different times and form new cultural identity. The inheritance and expression of national landmarks in frontier cities have important national and cultural significance for local development.
