大都市边缘区是“城”、“乡”过渡的重要地带，呈现出过渡性、动态性、交错性的特征。以西安大都市边缘区为研究对象，基于经典理论建构大都市边缘区空间发展的逻辑框架，采用空间分 析的方法描述了边缘新城(区)的空间演化特点，探讨边缘新城(区)作为大都市边缘区空间发展的主体形态特征及空间格局，揭示了其在产业、文化、生态等要素相互作用下大都市边缘区空间运行的创新机制。研究结论表明了边缘新城(区)有效地应对快速城镇化发展过程中大都市边缘区空间与各类要素配置的困境，实行了大都市边缘区空间有序组织与增长。 - 关键词：
大都市边缘区；主体形态；创新机制；边缘新城(区)；西安； - Abstract: The metropolitan fringe area is an important area for the transition of “city” and “township”, showing transitional, dynamic and interlaced characteristics. Taking the marginal area of Xi'an metropolis as the research object, based on the classical theory to construct the logical framework of the spatial development of the metropolitan fringe, the spatial analysis method is used to describe the spatial evolution characteristics of the edge new city (district), and the edge new city (district) is discussed as a metropolis. The main morphological characteristics and spatial pattern of the development of marginal space reveals its innovative mechanism for spatial operation in the fringe of metropolitan areas under the interaction of industry, culture and ecology. The research conclusions show that edge city (district) effectively copes with the dilemma of the spatial marginal space and various elements allocation in the process of rapid urbanization development, and implements the orderly organization and growth of the metropolitan fringe.
