文章基于第五次、第六次和第七次全国人口普查数据和其他统计数据，挖掘东部沿海地区城镇化发展的空间特征，考察城镇化影响因素及其变化。研究表明：东部沿海地区城镇化水平较高，区域差异呈缩小趋势，区内差异大于区间差异；增速低于全国平均水平，对全国城镇化水平的贡献率呈下降态势；人口向大城市集聚趋势明显加强，设市辖区对城镇化增长的拉动率高于县/ 市；集聚态势不断增强，6 个城市群成为城镇化的重要空间载体。经济发展和产业结构高级化是东部沿海地区城镇化水平提高的重要因素；经济全球化对东部沿海城镇化发展作出了特殊贡献；投入强度和联系水平对城镇化发展的促进作用依然存在，而创新能力提升将成为东部沿海地区城镇化发展的新动力。 - 关键词：
城镇化水平；时空特征；影响因素；东部沿海地区； - Abstract: Based on the fifth, sixth and seventh general population census data and other statistical data, this paper explored the spatial characteristics of urbanization development in eastern coastal areas, and investigated the influencing factors of urbanization and its changes. The results show that the urbanization level in the eastern coastal region is relatively high, and the regional differences show a narrowing trend, and the intra-regional differences are larger than the inter-regional differences. The growth urbanization rate is lower than the national average level, and the contribution rate to the national urbanization level is declining. The trend of population concentration in big cities is obviously strengthened, and the driving rate of urbanization growth by municipal districts is higher than that of counties (cities). The trend of agglomeration has been strengthened, and the six city agglomerations have become important spatial carriers of urbanization. Economic development and advanced industrial structure are important factors to improve the urbanization level in eastern coastal areas. Economic globalization has made a special contribution to the urbanization development in the east coast. The promotion effect of input intensity and connection level on urbanization development still exists, while the improvement of innovation ability will become a new driving force for urbanization development in eastern coastal areas.
